Kamen Rider Wizard (仮面ライダーウィザードKamen Raidā Wizādo) is a Japanese tokusatsu drama in Toei Company's Kamen Rider Series, being the fourteenth series in the Heisei period run and the twenty-third overall. Trademarks on the title were filed by Toei on June 21, 2012, and it was officially revealed on June 27, 2012. It began airing on TV Asahi on September 2, 2012, joining Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters and then Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger in the Super Hero Time lineup. Tsuyoshi Kida is the series' main screenwriter.

Story[edit]

Six months prior to the start of the series, a mysterious ritual held on the day of the solar eclipse took place. Its purpose was to give birth to a group of magical creatures called Phantoms through humans with magical potential called 'Gates', by forcibly subjecting them to immense despair. Haruto Soma, the survivor of the ritual, and Koyomi, a mysterious girl who has lost all of her memories, are tasked by the mysterious White Wizard to fight the Phantoms. Haruto is also given the Wizardriver to become Kamen Rider Wizard in order to prevent the Phantoms from transforming other Gates into Phantoms themselves. Later on, a man named Kosuke Nito appears as the ancient wizard Kamen Rider Beast to feed on the Phantom's magical power to survive and becomes both a rival and ally to Haruto. As the two wizards wage their battle against the Phantoms, who are led by the hotheaded Phoenix, the cold and merciless Medusa, the scheming Gremlin, and the enigmatic Wiseman, things are not all as they seem.

Movie War Ultimatum[edit]

Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Wizard & Fourze: Movie War Ultimatum (仮面ライダー×仮面ライダー ウィザード&フォーゼ MOVIE大戦アルティメイタムKamen Raidā × Kamen Raidā Wizādo Ando Fōze Mūbī Taisen Arutimeitamu) was released on December 8, 2012, and served as the annual winter 'Movie War' film.^[3] In the portion featuring the cast and characters of Kamen Rider Wizard, the title character from Shotaro Ishinomori's Bishōjo Mask Poitrine appears. The title team of Shotaro Ishinomori's Akumaizer 3 also appears in the movie as its main antagonists, with Demon Kakka providing the voice of Xatan as well as the performer for its theme song 'Forest of Rocks'. Kamen Riders OOO, Birth, Double, and Accel also made appearances in the movie. The event of the movie took place between Episode 13 and 14.

Super Hero Taisen Z[edit]

Kamen Rider × Super Sentai × Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taisen Z (仮面ライダー×スーパー戦隊×宇宙刑事 スーパーヒーロー大戦ZKamen Raidā × Sūpā Sentai × Uchū Keiji Supā Hīrō Taisen Zetto) is a film that was released in Japan on April 27, 2013 which featured the first crossover between characters of Toei's three main Tokusatsu franchises, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and the Space Sheriff Series representing the Metal Hero Series as a whole. The protagonists of Space Sheriff Gavan: The Movie, Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, and Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger are featured, but the casts of Kamen Rider Wizard, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, and Kamen Rider Fourze also participate in the film. The Space Ironmen Kyodain from Kamen Rider Fourze the Movie: Space, Here We Come! also made an appearance. The teaser for the film was shown after Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Wizard & Fourze: Movie War Ultimatum. The event of the movie took place between Episode 32 and 33.

In Magic Land[edit]

As with every year, Kamen Rider Wizard appears in his own film titled Kamen Rider Wizard in Magic Land the Movie (劇場版 仮面ライダーウィザード in Magic LandGekijōban Kamen Raidā Wizādo In Majikku Rando) that was released in theaters on August 3, 2013, double-billed with the film for Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.^[4][5][6] The film features Takanori Jinnai as the film's villain Minister Auma (オーマ大臣Ōma-daijin) who transforms into Kamen Rider Sorcerer (仮面ライダーソーサラーKamen Raidā Sōserā).^[6] Jinnai is the oldest person to portray a Kamen Rider to date at age 54; the record was previously held by Hiroyuki Watanabe for his portrayal of Kamen Rider Gaoh in Kamen Rider Den-O: I'm Born! who at the time of filming was 51.^[6] The event of the movie took place between Episode 39 and 40.

The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle[edit]

Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle (仮面ライダー×仮面ライダー 鎧武&ウィザード 天下分け目の戦国MOVIE大合戦Kamen Raidā × Kamen Raidā Gaimu Ando Wizādo Tenkawakeme no Sengoku Mūbī Daigassen) was the annual winter 'Movie Wars' film, featuring a crossover between the cast and characters from Kamen Rider Gaim and Kamen Rider Wizard. A short teaser of the film was first shown during the screening of Kamen Rider Wizard in Magic Land,^[7] with a new teaser shown after the finale of Wizard revealing the release date to be December 14, 2013.

Kamen Rider Taisen[edit]

Heisei Rider vs. Shōwa Rider: Kamen Rider Taisen feat. Super Sentai (平成ライダー対昭和ライダー 仮面ライダー大戦 feat.スーパー戦隊Heisei Raidā Tai Shōwa Raidā Kamen Raidā Taisen Fīcharingu Sūpā Sentai) made its theater debut on March 29, 2014.^[8]Masahiro Inoue, playing Kamen Rider Decade, alongside many other lead actors of other series appear in the film, including Gaku Sano of Kamen Rider Gaim, Renn Kiriyama of Kamen Rider W, Kohei Murakami and Kento Handa of Kamen Rider 555, Shunya Shiraishi from Kamen Rider Wizard, Ryo Hayami of Kamen Rider X,^[9] and Hiroshi Fujioka of the original Kamen Rider.^[10] The Sentai teams' Ressha Sentai ToQger and Ryo Ryusei as Daigo Kiryu from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger were also in the movie.^[11]Shun Sugata playing Kamen Rider ZX from the Birth of the 10th! Kamen Riders All Together!! TV special returns, also performing as Ambassador Darkness. Itsuji Itao of Kamen Rider The First played Ren Aoi, Kamen Rider Fifteen, a main antagonist of the film.

Kamen Rider Heisei Generations[edit]

A Movie War film, titled Kamen Rider Heisei Generations: Dr. Pac-Man vs. Ex-Aid & Ghost with Legend Rider (仮面ライダー平成ジェネレーションズ Dr.パックマン対エグゼイド&ゴーストwithレジェンドライダーKamen Raidā Heisei Jenerēshonzu Dokutā Pakkuman Tai Eguzeido Ando Gōsuto Wizu Rejendo Raidā), was released in Japan on December 10, 2016. The film features Kamen Rider Wizard teaming up with Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Kamen Rider Ghost, Kamen Rider Drive, and Kamen Rider Gaim as they battle against a virus based on Bandai Namco Entertainment's video game character, Pac-Man.^[12][13][14] The professional wrestler Hiroshi Tanahashi was announced to be one of the main antagonists of the movie.^[15]

Video games[edit]

A port of Kamen Rider: Climax Heroes titled Kamen Rider: Super Climax Heroes (仮面ライダー 超クライマックスヒーローズKamen Raidā Sūpā Kuraimakkusu Hīrōzu) was released for both the PlayStation Portable and Nintendo Wii during Winter 2012. In addition to adding Kamen Rider Wizard to the game, there are new features in the game. Kamen Rider: Battride War for the PlayStation 3 is also a game featuring Kamen Rider Wizard alongside his predecessors up through Kamen Rider Kuuga.

Hyper Battle DVD[edit]

The Hyper Battle DVD for Wizard is titled Kamen Rider Wizard Hyper Battle DVD: Showtime with the Dance Ring (仮面ライダーウィザード 超バトルDVD ダンスリングでショータイムKamen Raidā Wizādo Haipā Batoru Dī Buī Dī Dansu Ringu de Shōtaimu). Haruto and Kosuke go into the Donut Shop Manager's Underworld and use the powers of the Dance Ring.^[16]

Novel[edit]

Kamen Rider Wizard (仮面ライダーウィザードKamen Raidā Wizādo), written by Tsuyoshi Kida, is part of a series of spin-off novel adaptions of the Heisei Era Kamen Riders. The events of the novel take place after Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle. The novel was released on November 1, 2014.

Antique Shop Omokagedō[edit]

Instructed by White Wizard to look for ring maker Shigeru Wajima following their first encounter with him, Haruto and Koyomi take shelter at his shop, the Antique Shop Omokagedō (骨董店・面影堂Kottōten Omokagedō, lit. 'Vestige Hall') and make of it their base of operations.

Haruto Soma[edit]

Haruto Soma (操真 晴人Sōma Haruto) is a mysterious young man who survives being turned into a Phantom, and instead gains the abilities to become the magically powered Kamen Rider Wizard (仮面ライダーウィザードKamen Raidā Wizādo).

Prior to the start of the series, he was among the numerous individuals blessed with the potential to perform magic, called Gates. A former soccer player, he abandoned his dream of turning pro when he injured his best friend and teammate, Kazuya, during a tryout. Able to keep his inner Phantom from tearing him apart from the inside through sheer willpower, Haruto was one of the very few to have survived the ritual and emerged with the ability to perform magic. Haruto receives the Wizardriver from the White Wizard who saved him from the Phantom Lizardman, enabling him to combat the Phantoms as Wizard.

Motivated to give hope and save people from despair, Haruto took residence in Omokagedō to be provided with more Wizard Rings and, during the events of Kamen Rider Fourze the Movie: Space, Here We Come!, christens himself a Kamen Rider when inspired by Kamen Rider Fourze's definition of the title. Often misunderstood by others, Haruto now finds his mundane life boring now that he must fight the Phantoms while giving people hope. However, he finds solace in his love of doughnuts.^[1] In time, Haruto gained two more allies: a rookie detective named Rinko Daimon and a young man named Shunpei Nara. When Haruto first meets the Phantom Phoenix, sensing his inner Phantom, he obtains a new ring that allows him to use his inner Phantom's power. Though Wizardragon warned him of the dangers of manifesting his power in the physical world, Haruto's retort muses the Phantom as he gives his human self the power to defeat Phoenix. Eventually gaining another ally in Kosuke Nito, Kamen Rider Beast, Haruto gains the means to use Wizardragon's power in all four Styles prior to obtaining the Drago Timer to fully utilize Wizardragon's full power and defeat Phoenix. Haruto also encounters Mayu Inamori, the twin sister of the woman whom the Phantom Medusa was born from, who the White Wizard took under his wing to learn magic after restraining her inner Phantom.

Later, when the Phantom Legion attacks his Underworld and destroys Wizardragon from the inside, Haruto is rendered a normal human until watching Koyomi almost get killed caused him to regain his magic while using resulting the Infinity Ring that was created to destroy Legion and save Koyomi's life. Soon after, learning that Gremlin is actually Sora Takigawa in mind, Haruto is told of the Phantoms' leader Wiseman and the Philosopher's Stone while becoming troubled when told by the Phantom that Koyomi being able to survive spawning a Phantom is very unlikely.

Soon after an attempt to confront the stronger Wiseman that Haruto encounters Kazuya and reconciles with him prior to encountering Fueki, the White Wizard. With Mayu's return as Kamen Rider Mage, Haruto soon begins to question Fueki's agenda when later abducts Yuzuru Iijima, Kazaki, and Koyomi. Though Haruto feels he still could trust him when he learns he is Koyomi's father, giving his Infinity Ring to Mayu to exchange for her Holy Ring, Haruto is devastated to learn that Fueki is also Wiseman when he kills Medusa and claims Yamamoto. Confronting Fueki while learning that Koyomi is only a vessel of the original animated by the Philosopher's Stone, defeated by a mind-controlled Yamamoto, Haruto learns that he has been using the Phantoms to get three additional wizards to begin a new Sabbath that would fully revive Koyomi as Fueki attempted to do with the last one.

Though he accepted it at first if it meant saving Koyomi, Haruto is horrified to learn that Fueki intends to sacrifice everyone in Tokyo to ensure he succeeds. Luckily, Nito releases Beast Chimera to negate the Sabbath and Haruto confronts Fueki before he escapes. Finding Koyomi as she returns his Infinity Ring to him, Haruto is stopped from reviving her at her request so she can rest in peace and is instead made to promise to take the Philosopher's Stone far away so no one else would suffer.

However, while fighting Fueki, Haruto ends up watching Koyomi being killed by Sora as he claims the stone for himself. Shutting himself at Omokagedō as Sora proceeds to rampage the city, Haruto regains his composure and confronts the Phantom. Telling Sora they are not the same as he looks towards the future instead of the past, Haruto manages to get the Philosopher's Stone as it transforms into the Hope Ring that he uses to defeat the Phantom. Some time later, Haruto leaves Tokyo to honor his promise to Koyomi by hiding the Hope Ring in a place no one would ever find it.

By wearing one of the Transformation Wizard Rings and swinging his left hand in front of the Grimoire Stone kept within the Hand Author on the Wizardriver belt, Haruto can transform into the mystically-powered Kamen Rider Wizard, who is also referred to as the 'Ringed Wizard' (指輪の魔法使いYubiwa no Mahōtsukai). Depending on the Transformation Ring used, Kamen Rider Wizard can transform into a different form known as a Style (スタイルSutairu). After Haruto transforms into Kamen Rider Wizard, he says 'Now, it's showtime!' (さあ、ショータイムだ!Saa, shōtaimu da!) and when Wizard executes one of his finishers, he says 'The finale!' (フィナーレだ!Fināre da!). His finisher is a Rider Kick called Strike Wizard (ストライクウィザードSutoraiku Wizādo), a corkscrew side kick enhanced by the power of the element presently wielded.^[1] Kamen Rider Wizard can also access Wizardragon's power to enhance his Styles into Dragon (ドラゴンDoragon) forms. Unlike his other Style Changes, Haruto gains access to these forms after he confronts his inner self, Wizardragon, in his own Underworld. Wizardragon told Haruto that using a Dragon form will hasten his fall into despair. In a Dragon form, Kamen Rider Wizard can perform a more powerful version of the Strike Wizard called Dragon Strike Wizard (ドラゴンストライクウィザードDoragon Sutoraiku Wizādo).

• Flame Style (フレイムスタイルFureimu Sutairu) is Kamen Rider Wizard's round ruby-based basic form, acquiring magical control over fire and heat with the Flame Ring. Flame Style is the most-balanced of the four forms due to its combination of strength, speed, and agility.^[1][2][3] When Kamen Rider Wizard changes into this Style, the Wizardriver rhythmically chants 'Hee' (ヒー (火)Hī, 'Fire'). The magic circle formed by using the Flame Ring typically travels from Kamen Rider Wizard's left side across his body to the right, though it can also be projected in front of him, where he will then run through it.
• Water Style (ウォータースタイルWōtā Sutairu) is Kamen Rider Wizard's diamond-shaped sapphire-based form, acquiring magical control over water through the use of the Water Ring. Water Style is slightly weaker than Flame Style, but carries a slightly faster running speed.^[1][4][5] When Kamen Rider Wizard changes into this Style, the Wizardriver rhythmically chants 'Sui' (スイ (水), 'Water'). The magic circle formed by using the Water Ring typically travels from Kamen Rider Wizard's right side across his body to the left, though it can also be projected above him, where it then travels downward.
• Hurricane Style (ハリケーンスタイルHarikēn Sutairu) is Kamen Rider Wizard's triangular emerald-based form, acquiring magical control over wind and air through the use of the Hurricane Ring. Hurricane Style is the fastest but weakest of the four Styles due to its increase in jumping height and running speed and decrease in punching and kicking powers. Hurricane Style has the ability to hover around the air for quick attacks and its well-suited for aerial combat.^[1][6][7] When Kamen Rider Wizard changes into this Style, the Wizardriver rhythmically chants 'Foo' (フー (風)Fū, 'Wind'). The magic circle formed by the Hurricane Ring typically hovers in the air above Kamen Rider Wizard. He jumps upward through the circle in order to shift into this Style. It is also possible for Kamen Rider Wizard to project the circle below him and fall through it. While in this Style, Kamen Rider Wizard displays a preference for holding the Wizarswordgun's Sword Mode in a reverse grip.
• Land Style (ランドスタイルRando Sutairu) is Kamen Rider Wizard's square yellow citrine-based form, acquiring magical control over earth through the use of the Land Ring. Land Style is the strongest of the four Styles, showing an increase in punching and kicking powers, but as a drawback it shows a decrease in jumping height and a slow running speed. Nonetheless, Land Style is better suited for battling strength-oriented Phantoms.^[1][8][9] When Kamen Rider Wizard changes into this Style, the Wizardriver rhythmically chants a combination of 'Do' (ド (土), 'Earth') and 'Don' (ドン).^{[Note 1]} The magic circle formed by the Land Ring typically travels upward across Kamen Rider Wizard's body from the ground. Alternatively, the magic circle can be manifested at Kamen Rider Wizard's waist, from there traveling both upwards and downwards at the same time.^{[citation needed]}
• Flame Dragon (フレイムドラゴンFureimu Doragon) is the evolved form of Flame Style, enhanced through Wizardragon's power by using the Flame Dragon Ring. By using the Special Ring, the Drago Skull (ドラゴスカルDorago Sukaru) manifests from Kamen Rider Wizard's chest and initiates the Dragon Breath (ドラゴンブレスDoragon Buresu), where Wizardragon's head breathes a torrent of fire.^[1][10][11] When changing to Flame Dragon, the Wizardriver rhythmically chants 'Bō' (ボー)^{[Note 2]} to the same tune as Flame Style's chant.
• Hurricane Dragon (ハリケーンドラゴンHarikēn Doragon) is the evolved form of Hurricane Style, enhanced through Wizardragon's power by using the Hurricane Dragon Ring. By using the Special Ring, the Drago Wings (ドラゴウィングDorago Uingu) manifest from Kamen Rider Wizard's back, allowing him to fly. With the Thunder Ring, Kamen Rider Wizard can initiate the form's finisher, Dragon Lightning Tornado (ドラゴンライトニングトルネードDoragon Raitoningu Torunēdo) where he flies around the enemy forming a tornado and causes a storm cloud to strike lightning on the enemy.^[12][13] When changing to Hurricane Dragon, the Wizardriver rhythmically chants 'Byū' (ビュー)^{[Note 3]} to the same tune as Hurricane Style's chant.
• Special Rush (スペシャルラッシュSupesharu Rasshu) is a special form utilizing enhanced red versions of all of Wizardragon's parts, accessed by using the Special Rush Ring. In this form, Kamen Rider Wizard is armed with the Rush Skull (ラッシュスカルRasshu Sukaru), the Rush Wings (ラッシュウィングRasshu Wingu), the Rush Hell Claws (ラッシュヘルクローRasshu Heru Kurō), and the Rush Tail (ラッシュテイルRasshu Teiru) each of which being able to use their respective elements. Special Rush's finisher is the Special Dragon Rush (スペシャルドラゴンラッシュSupesharu Doragon Rasshu), attacking enemies with all of Wizardragon's parts then using a variation of the Dragon Strike Wizard. Kamen Rider Wizard uses this form in Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Wizard & Fourze: Movie War Ultimatum, when fighting Xatan and the Zaiderbeck in the Underworld. When changing into Special Rush, the Wizardriver announces the names of the four elements: Flame (フレイムFureimu), Water (ウォーターWōtā), Hurricane (ハリケーンHarikēn), and Land (ランドRando). If scanned on the White Wizard Driver, said belt will instead announce, in a row, Volcano (ボルケーノBorukēno), Hydro (ハイドロHaidoro), Tempest (テンペストTenpesuto), and Horizon (ホライズンHoraizun).
• Water Dragon (ウォータードラゴンWōtā Doragon) is the evolved form of Water Style, enhanced through Wizardragon's power by using the Water Dragon Ring. By using the Special Ring, the Drago Tail (ドラゴテイルDorago Teiru) manifests from Kamen Rider Wizard's lower back, allowing him to part a large body of water to unveil whatever lurks within it. With the Blizzard Ring, Kamen Rider Wizard can initiate the form's finisher, Dragon Freeze Whip (ドラゴンフリーズウィップDoragon Furīzu Wippu) where he freezes the enemy and shatters the frozen target with his tail.^[14][15] When changing to Water Dragon, the Wizardriver rhythmically chants a combination of 'Jaba' (ジャバ), 'Bashan' (バシャン), and 'Zabun' (ザブン)^{[Note 4]} to the same tune as Water Style's chant.
• Land Dragon (ランドドラゴンRando Doragon) is the evolved form of Land Style, enhanced through Wizardragon's power by using the Land Dragon Ring. By using the Special Ring, the Drago Hell Claws (ドラゴヘルクローDorago Heru Kurō) manifest from Kamen Rider Wizard's arms, allowing him to cleave through anything. With the Gravity Ring, Kamen Rider Wizard can initiate the form's finisher, Dragon Levitate Torn (ドラゴン浮揚トーンDoragon Fuyō Tōn) where he infuses the Drago Hell Claws with gravitational energy before striking the enemy with a cross beam slash.^[16][17] When changing to Land Dragon, the Wizardriver rhythmically chants a combination of 'Dandendon' (ダンデンドン) and 'Zudogōn' (ズドゴーン)^{[Note 5]} to the same tune as Land Style's chant.
• All Dragon (オールドラゴンŌru Doragon) is the powered up version of Flame Dragon when all four of the Dragon forms' powers become one and utilizes strengthened versions of the Wizardragon parts, accessed by scanning the Prism Drago Light on the Drago Timer. As All Dragon, Kamen Rider Wizard has the powers of the four elements and is able to utilize the All Drago Skull (オールドラゴスカルŌru Dorago Sukaru), All Drago Tail (オールドラゴテイルŌru Dorago Teiru), All Drago Wings (オールドラゴウィングŌru Dorago Uingu), and the All Drago Hell Claws (オールドラゴヘルクローŌru Dorago Heru Kurō) all at once. However, this form can only be used for a limited time, presumably for one of two reasons: it is taxing on Haruto's magical energy reserves or it could speed up his descent into despair and turn him into a Phantom. When performing the finisher, four of the elemental Wizardragon projections attack the target and Kamen Rider Wizard flies up and does the All Dragon Burst (オールドラゴンバーストŌru Doragon Bāsuto), a Rider Kick, which is strong enough to send Phoenix to the surface of the Sun.^[18]
• Infinity Style (インフィニティースタイルInfinitī Sutairu) is Kamen Rider Wizard's silver brilliant cut diamond-based ultimate and final form, acquiring the magic of all elements through the use of the Infinity Ring. In this form, Kamen Rider Wizard has enhanced defense and speed as well as the power to call upon Wizardragon outside the Underworld as the Axcalibur. When changing into Infinity Style, the Wizardriver rhythmically chants 'Hee Sui Foo Do Bō Zaba Byū Dogōn' (ヒースイフードボーザバビュードゴーンHī Sui Fū Do Bō Zaba Byū Dogōn).^[19][20] The magic circle created by using the Infinity Ring forms at Haruto's feet, traveling upward and encasing his body in cut diamond, which shatters to reveal Infinity Style.
• Beast Mantle (ビーストマントBīsuto Manto) is a special form accessed by using Kamen Rider Beast's Falco and Buffa Rings at the same time, appearing in the Showtime with the Dance Ring Hyper Battle DVD. As Beast Mantle, Kamen Rider Wizard becomes Flame Dragon armed with the Falco Mantle (ファルコマントFaruko Manto) and the Buffa Mantle (バッファマントBaffa Manto). Its finisher is the Chimera Wizard Tackle (キメラウィザードタックルKimera Wizādo Takkuru), which involves Wizard rising into the sky before diving at the enemy covered in energy that forms the Buffa head of Beast Chimera.^[21]
• Infinity Dragon (インフィニティードラゴンInfinitī Doragon) is the evolved and true form of Infinity Style enhanced with Wizardragon's power through the use of the Finish Strike Ring that only appears in the film Kamen Rider Wizard in Magic Land. As Infinity Dragon, Kamen Rider Wizard is armed with golden versions of the Drago Wings, Drago Claws, and Drago Tail. The finisher of this form is the Infinity End (インフィニティーエンドInfinitī Endo) Rider Kick, where a golden Drago Skull appears on his right foot and strikes the enemy with it.
• Infinity Dragon Gold (インフィニティードラゴンゴールドInfinitī Doragon Gōrudo) is the final, further evolved, and true form of Infinity Dragon that appears in Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle and Heisei Rider vs. Shōwa Rider: Kamen Rider Taisen feat. Super Sentai, empowered by Hope Ring and accessed through the use of the Finish Strike Ring.

Haruto Soma is portrayed by Shunya Shiraishi (白石 隼也Shiraishi Shun'ya).^[22] As a child, Haruto is portrayed by Kaito Nakashima (中島 凱斗Nakashima Kaito).

Koyomi[edit]

Koyomi (コヨミ) is Haruto Soma's assistant, a mysterious girl who was entrusted to Haruto by the White Wizard after the Sabbath. Koyomi has no memory of her life before and is ultimately comparable to a dead shell. As such, she needs periodical infusions of magical energy through the use of the Please Ring to maintain her being. Though she initially resented her half dead state and wished to just stay dead, Haruto convinces her to have hope in him, accept her present state and work for the future. She currently lives at Wajima's shop, helping Haruto with her unique ability to discern Phantoms-in-disguise from real humans. Eventually, Koyomi learns the truth that she is actually Koyomi Fueki (笛木 暦Fueki Koyomi), the White Wizard's daughter. Furthermore, Koyomi learns that she died several years ago and was resurrected halfway during the first Sabbath when her father inserted a Philosopher's Stone into her body. With this knowledge, Koyomi eventually dies when Gremlin rips the stone out of her.

Koyomi is portrayed by Makoto Okunaka (奥仲 麻琴Okunaka Makoto). As a child, Koyomi is portrayed by Kanon Kobayashi (小林 花音Kobayashi Kanon).

Shigeru Wajima[edit]

Shigeru Wajima (輪島 繁Wajima Shigeru) is the owner of Omokagedō, a skilled ring maker who created the Flame Ring. Initially, Wajima didn't make rings because of fear that he might get innocent people involved. But when Haruto came to him after receiving the Flame Ring from the White Wizard, Wajima's resolve was renewed and he began to offer his aid to Haruto by creating more Wizard Rings for him to use in his fight with the Phantoms. Wajima claims that the crafting on the rings depends on the resonance of the stones that he use, but he does not know what magic they are imbued with until they have been tested by Haruto.

Shigeru Wajima is portrayed by Hisahiro Ogura (小倉 久寛Ogura Hisahiro).

Rinko Daimon[edit]

Rinko Daimon (大門 凛子Daimon Rinko) is a rookie detective at the Toriizaka Police Station, joining the police force to help people as her father had. She is dragged into the fight between Kamen Rider Wizard and the Phantoms when she is targeted by the Phantom Minotauros with Haruto destroying both the Phantom Jabberwock (ジャバウォックJabawokku) that manifested in her and her magic potential. Though she arrested Haruto to get the full story about the monsters, Rinko is upset that her superiors will not let her investigate the Phantoms as it is out of their purview, which does not match her Edokko upbringing. However, after being saved by Haruto and getting to know him more, she provides support by getting as much information as she can through her sources in the police department and background checks on targeted Gates, as well as leading them to safety. After the final battle, she guides Mayu into joining the police force.

Rinko Daimon is portrayed by Yuko Takayama (高山 侑子Takayama Yūko). As a child, Rinko is portrayed by Ichino Suehara (末原 一乃Suehara Ichino).

Shunpei Nara[edit]

Shunpei Nara (奈良 瞬平Nara Shunpei) is a clumsy young man who has been fascinated with magic since young when he first read the picture book The Forest Wizard (森の魔法使いMori no Mahōtsukai), quoting the wizard's magic phrase 'Chichin Pui Pui' (ちちんぷいぷい). While being targeted by the Phantom Hellhound, his attempts in convincing Haruto to make him his apprentice being shot down and he falls victim to Hellhound, who uses his powers to make Shunpei think he can create a torrent of flame from his fingertip. Once Hellhound reveals the ruse and forces him to incinerate his childhood book, Shunpei's despair gives birth to his inner Phantom Cyclops (サイクロプスSaikuropusu). After Hellhound is destroyed, Kamen Rider Wizard enters Shunpei's Underworld to destroy Cyclops and with it, the youth's magical potential as well. However, Shunpei forces himself into Haruto's life regardless, stating that although he can't use magic, he will do all he can to support a wizard. After the final battle, he becomes an apprentice to Wajima.

Shunpei Nara is portrayed by Junki Tozuka (戸塚 純貴Tozuka Junki). As a child, Shunpei is portrayed by Ryusei Shoji (庄司 龍成Shōji Ryūsei).

Wizardragon[edit]

Wizardragon (ウィザードラゴンWizādoragon), or simply Dragon (ドラゴンDoragon), is Haruto's inner Phantom, usually summoned to battle other Phantoms in the Underworld. Originally rather hostile towards Haruto at first, until his encounter with Haruto in the Underworld and becomes impressed with his other self's intent to the point of letting the him use his power in Kamen Rider Wizard's Dragon forms. His human form resembles Haruto, but has red eyes.

Wizardragon is voiced by Ryūzaburō Ōtomo (大友 龍三郎Ōtomo Ryūzaburō). His human form is portrayed by Shunya Shiraishi, who also portrays Haruto Soma.

Kosuke Nito[edit]

Kosuke Nito (仁藤 攻介Nitō Kōsuke) is young archaeologist from the Fukui Prefecture who is rather optimistic, often believing that pinches and chances are sides of the same coin. He has a gigantic appetite and an unusual liking to mayonnaise, putting it on everything he eats, including doughnuts. He originally lived with his grandmother before he became a student archaeologist. During an expedition, Nito found the Beast Driver and broke the seal holding a horde of Ghouls at bay. Forced to become Kamen Rider Beast to defeat the monsters, Nito learns he unknowingly forged a pact with the Phantom Beast Chimera and must now consume other Phantoms for their magical energies to keep the Phantom fed, as if it dies, so will he. Through a misunderstanding as to how Kamen Rider Wizard functions in regards to absorbing and replenishing magical power, he labels Haruto his 'eternal rival' when they first meet after Nito was targeted by Manticore on the assumption that he was a Gate. Despite it being possible for Haruto to simply use an Engage Ring to enter Nito's Underworld and destroy Beast Chimera, Nito initially refuses on the grounds that his Phantom would be too strong for Kamen Rider Wizard to handle and the experience would 'leave a bad taste.' Nito later explains that as an archeologist, he wishes to learn more about the Phantoms, the Beast Driver, and the Wizard Rings, believing he will never make as important a discovery as Beast Chimera again.

When Nito attempts to end the second Sabbath, he is overpowered by Fueki. In risky gambit that could have killed him, Nito broke the Beast Driver to release Beast Chimera so he can devour all of the excess magical energies generated by the Sabbath to negate the ritual. In appreciation, the idea of eating not amusing, Beast Chimera spares Nito's life and frees him from their pact before leaving. Despite being a normal human again, Nito aided Haruto during the final battle. Once the Phantoms are finally defeated, taking Yuzuru as an apprentice, Nito decides to find Beast Chimera to learn more about the ancient Phantom. Nito eventually recaptures Chimera and seals it on the Beast Driver once more, but is forced to transform into Kamen Rider Beast once more to confront the Phantom Ogre and a copy of Koyomi he created using the Hope Ring, despite knowing that without Phantoms to consume, he will be eventually eaten by Chimera. After Ogre is defeated, he is consumed by the Nepenthes Inhumanoid under Kamen Rider Bujin Gaim's orders. Nito is later rescued by Kamen Riders Gaim and Wizard and assists them to defeat Bujin Gaim and in the occasion, learns that he can feed Chimera not only with Phantoms but with fruits from the Helheim Forest as well.

Like Kamen Rider Wizard, Nito is able to become the mystically-powered Kamen Rider Beast (仮面ライダービーストKamen Raidā Bisuto), who is also referred to as the 'Ancient Wizard' (古の魔法使いInishie no Mahōtsukai), by using the Beast Driver. Akin to Kamen Rider Wizard's Styles, Kamen Rider Beast can change to different forms known as Mantles (マントManto), which are named after the special cloak-like attachments that gives him powers of different animals. After Nito transforms into Kamen Rider Beast, he originally said 'Now, its feeding time!' (さあ、食事の時間だ!Saa, Shokuji no jikan da!) until adopting the phrases 'Now, it's breakfast time! (さあ、ブレクファースタイムだ!Saa, Burekufāsutaimu da!) during the morning and 'Now, it's lunchtime! (さあ、ランチタイムだ!Saa, Ranchitaimu da!) during afternoon to contrast with Haruto's own 'it's showtime.' Whenever Beast executes one of his finishers, he says 'the Main Dish!' (メインディッシュだ!Mein disshu da!).^[23][24][25]

• Falco Mantle (ファルコマントFaruko Manto) is a form where Kamen Rider Beast is armed with an orange cape with the same name, accessed by the Falco Ring, giving him the ability to fly.^[26] When Kamen Rider Beast turns into Falco Mantle, the Beast Driver rhythmically chants 'Fa-Fa-Fa-Falco' (ファッファッファッファルコFa-Fa-Fa-Faruko). First used in Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Wizard & Fourze: Movie War Ultimatum.
• Chameleo Mantle (カメレオマントKamereo Manto) is a form where Kamen Rider Beast is armed with a light green cape with the same name, accessed by the Chameleo Ring, giving him the ability to blend in with the environment and appear invisible to enemies. He is also able to use the coiled tongue ornament on the Mantle's shoulder pauldron as a whip.^[27] When Kamen Rider Beast turns into Chameleo Mantle, the Beast Driver chants 'ChaCha-Cha-Cha-Chameleo' (カカッカッカッカメレオKaKa-Ka-Ka-Kamereo).^[23]
• Buffa Mantle (バッファマントBaffa Manto) is a form where Kamen Rider Beast is armed with a crimson cape with the same name, accessed by the Buffa Ring, allowing him to become stronger and more durable to defend himself from any attack.^[28] When Kamen Rider Beast turns into Buffa Mantle, the Beast Driver chants 'Bu-Bu-Bububu-Buffa' (バッバッババババッファBa-Ba-Bababa-Baffa).^[23]
• Dolphi Mantle (ドルフィマントDorufi Manto) is a form where Kamen Rider Beast is armed with a purple cape with the same name, accessed by using the Dolphi Ring, giving him the ability to swim at high speeds and use healing spells.^[29] When Kamen Rider Beast turns into Dolphi Mantle, the Beast Driver chants 'Do-Do-Do-Do-Dolphi' (ドドドドドルフィDo-Do-Do-Do-Dorufi).^[23]
• Beast Hyper (ビーストハイパーBīsuto Haipā) is Kamen Rider Beast's gold, blue, and red powered-up form accessed by the Hyper Ring. In this form he becomes one with Beast Chimera, which allows him to summon the Mirage Magnum, and also gives him tassles which can be extended as a weapon. In this form he is quicker on his feet and prefers ranged combat. When Kamen Rider Beast transforms into Beast Hyper, the Beast Driver chants 'Hy-Hy-Hy-Hyper' (ハイッハイッハイッハイパーHai-Hai-Hai-Haipā).^[30][31]
• Wizard Style (ウィザードスタイルWizādo Sutairu) is a special form accessed by using Kamen Rider Wizard's Land Dragon Ring, appearing in the Showtime with the Dance Ring Hyper Battle DVD. As Wizard Style, Kamen Rider Beast dons the Land Overcoat (ランドオーバーコートRando Ōbākōto) and is armed with the Drago Hell Claws (ドラゴヘルクローDorago Heru Kurō). Its finisher is the Dragon Beast Torn (ドラゴンビーストトーンDoragon Bīsuto Tōn), which involves Beast charging at an enemy before going through a Magical Portal that forms WizarDragon to destroy the Phantom.^[21]

Kosuke Nito is portrayed by Tasuku Nagase (永瀬 匡Nagase Tasuku). As a child, Nito is portrayed by Kirato Wakayama (若山 耀人Wakayama Kirato).

Beast Chimera[edit]

Beast Chimera (ビーストキマイラBīsuto Kimaira), or simply Chimera (キマイラKimaira), is a chimera Phantom that was sealed within the Beast Driver since ancient times. When Nito found the Beast Driver, Chimera formed a pact with the human to spare his life in return of being provided with an abundance of magical energy like Phantoms to feed on. Like WizarDragon, Beast Chimera can be summoned within an Underworld to help Beast fight inner-Phantoms. During Fueki's second Sabbath, Nito is forced to break the Beast Driver to release Beast Chimera to devour all of the excess magical energies to negate the ritual. In appreciation, Chimera spares Nito's life and frees him from their pact before leaving. Chimera was later resealed into the Beast Driver by Nito to restore the pact during the events of Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle, even though he knows he would be killed as Ogre was the last of the Phantoms. But Nito learns it to be no issue after finding that Chimera can also feed on Helheim Fruits.

Beast Chimera is voiced by Tomomichi Nishimura (西村 知道Nishimura Tomomichi).

Toriizaka Police Station[edit]

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Toriizaka Police Station (鳥居坂署Toriizakasho) is where Rinko Daimon works as a rookie detective.

Chief of Police[edit]

The chief of police is portrayed by Takayasu Komiya (小宮 孝泰Komiya Takayasu).

Masanori Kizaki[edit]

Masanori Kizaki (木崎 政範Kizaki Masanori) is a superintendent working for National Security Bureau Section Zero (国家安全局0課Kokka Anzenkyoku Zero-ka) branch of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, secretly investigating Kamen Rider Wizard and the Phantoms while keeping the knowledge of them from the public. He was originally partnered to Katayama six months prior, learning of the Phantoms' existence while investigating mass disappearances. He promises his senior partner that he will protect his son Naoki when Katayama makes an attempt to stop the Phantom Gargoyle. Though he originally sees Haruto to be an abomination just the Phantoms and abducting Wajima to commission his services in creating a Wizard Ring obtained by Katayama, Kizaki becomes new ally when he saves Naoki and gives the Kamen Rider the Magic Stone that would later be made into the Hurricane Dragon and Thunder Rings. He is called on again by Haruto when he and Rinko are investigating Fueki but is captured by the White Wizard and put in a coma as a result. After waking, Kizaki reveals Fueki's identity and address to Haruto.

Masanori Kizaki is portrayed by Naoki Kawano (川野 直輝Kawano Naoki).

Donut Shop Hungry[edit]

Donut Shop Hungry (ど～なつ屋 はんぐり～Dōnatsu-ya Hangurī) is a food truck that serves the Toriizaka area prior to it being destroyed by Sora during Kamen Rider Wizard's final battle with the Phantom. Despite the food truck's destruction, the business continued by the time Haruto leaves Tokyo.

Manager[edit]

The manager of Hungry is an effeminategay man in drag with constantly changing hair styles. Haruto is his favorite customer, and he comes up with countless new flavors and styles of doughnuts to offer the young man, only to be stymied by Haruto's preference for plain sugar doughnuts.

During the events of Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Wizard & Fourze: Movie War Ultimatum, the manager reveals that his name is Yu Kamimura and that Haruto met their ideal (and feminine) self in the Underworld.

The manager is portrayed by Kaba-chan (KABA.ちゃん), prior to her coming out as transgender. Of the role, Kaba-chan stated that while she never really watched Kamen Rider as a child, she felt that she would form great memories as a member of the Kamen Rider Wizard cast. This role made her the first LGBT cast member and regular character in the history of the Kamen Rider Series.^[32]

Worker[edit]

The worker at Hungry is far more level-headed than his manager, and has many occasions forcing his employer to be quiet. He usually hangs at the back and rarely speaks up.

The worker is portrayed by Ryo Tayano (田谷野 亮Tayano Ryō).

Phantoms[edit]

Phantoms (ファントムFantomu) are magical creatures born from Gates who experience true hopelessness. They seek to turn more Gates into Phantoms by the will of their leader Wiseman, unaware of his true objective. If during the transformation the Gates manage to regain their lost hope they manage to keep their inner Phantom at bay, attaining the potential to become wizards.

Medusa[edit]

Medusa (メデューサMedyūsa) is a Phantom born from the body of Misa Inamori (稲森 美紗Inamori Misa), a high school student that Fueki abducted for his first Sabbath, and detests Sora referring to her as Misa (ミサ). Following her birth, Medusa murdered her original self's parents soon after. Medusa is unquestioningly loyal to Wiseman and takes offense to any Phantom who refuses to carry out their mission, to the point of being fully willing to execute them. Cruel and calculating, Medusa has the ability to look through Gates' personal Underworlds and shoot beams from her eyes in human form while her hair can siphon off magic and she wields the Arrogant (アロガントAroganto) scepter in her natural Phantom form. In battle, Medusa can use magic and is able to petrify her opponents.^[33]

Though she rarely fights, Medusa engages Haruto in combat whenever it is necessary before being forced into aiding Sora when he abuses his new rank as Wiseman's right hand. When Medusa attempts to infiltrate a school to target a student named Takako (多香子), she learns of her original self's twin sister Mayu and attempts to create a Phantom from her instead. But Mayu instead becomes a witch whom the White Wizard mentored to defeat Medusa as one of the first Kamen Rider Mages, Medusa nearly killing her when she is literally backstabbed by Wiseman and dies with the knowledge that she was Fueki's pawn while dissolving into dust.

Medusa is portrayed by Erina Nakayama (中山 絵梨奈Nakayama Erina). Nakayama also portrays Mayu Inamori.

Phoenix[edit]

Phoenix (フェニックスFenikkusu) is a Phantom born from the body of a young florist assistant named Yugo Fujita (藤田 雄吾Fujita Yūgo), who was among those abducted by Fueki during the solar eclipse and sacrificed, referred to by Sora as Yugo (ユウゴYūgo). Unlike his original self, Phoenix is an arrogant berserker with a fiery temper and love for violence. This led to him killing a Gate by mistake, resulting in him being made an observer of the other Phantoms as he seems behave in an overbearing manner to them at a lesser degree. In battle, Phoenix controls hell fire and wields the fire bladed Catastrophe (カタストロフKatasutorofu) broadsword. He can also revive from any attack that would be fatal to other Phantoms, literally rising from the ashes with his power intensified.^[34]

After Haruto's constant interference, Phoenix convinces Wiseman to give him permission to deal with him personally while creating a new Phantom using a boy named Hiroki Itoh by going after the boy's parents. Though he overpowers Kamen Rider Wizard at first, Phoenix ends up being destroyed by the Kamen Rider's new Flame Dragon form. Since his defeat, Phoenix vowed revenge on the wizard and engaged him again when he goes after a blonde-haired man named Tatsuro. Though he succeeds in placing Tatsuro in despair by burning his Christmas presents to orphans, Phoenix is taken out with Kamen Rider Wizard Water Dragon's Dragon Freeze Whip long enough for the latter to destroy Tatsuro's inner Phantom Hekatonkheir (ヘカトンケイルHekatonkeiru).

Later, furious at Wiseman's decision for him not to go after Haruto, Phoenix's provoked attack on drunkards results in Rinko learning of his original self which Phoenix exploits to earn the officer's trust has not seen him in human form. When Rinko suggests convinces him to act on his own whim, Phoenix injures her while enlisting Sora to enact his plan of settling things with Haruto. But Haruto take Phoenix's immortality into consideration as he uses his All Dragon form to send the Phantom hurtling to the sun. This results in Phoenix being trapped in an inescapable loop of death and rebirth which constantly consume his mana before he even finishes regenerating.

Phoenix is portrayed by Atsumi (篤海).

Sora Takigawa[edit]

Sora Takigawa (滝川 空Takigawa Sora) is a serial killer who murdered and scalped an unknown number of his former clients due to their resemblance to a former girlfriend, whom he killed in a fit of rage after getting dumped by her. Unlike the other Gates whom Fueki abducted for the Sabbath that died when their Phantom counterparts are born, Sora reincarnated as the Phantom Gremlin (グレムリンGuremurin) and retained all traces of his original self within his new body. Previously referred solely as 'a youth' (青年seinen), Sora acts on his whims while referring to most Phantoms by the names of their original selves. In battle, Sora wields the scissor-like twin Rapture (ラプチャーRapuchā) swords and moves at speeds so fast that it appears time has ceased in his surroundings.

Motivated with his desire to have Haruto use the full powers of Wizardragon, Sora provides Section Zero with the green Magic Stone and later gives Haruto a yellow Magic Stone via Koyomi and watches Kamen Rider Wizard put it to good use in his Land Dragon form. He later aids Phoenix in arranging his fight with Haruto, replacing Phoenix as Medusa's fellow observer despite her not completely trusting him. When Medusa asks his reasons and motivation, Sora states that he only wishes to know the entirety of Wiseman's plan and releases the Phantom Legion in a risky gambit to get answers from Wiseman. Managing to win Wiseman's trust, Sora becomes his right hand.

When the popular model Chiaki Shimizu is attacked by the Phantom Argus, Sora reveals his nature as unique Phantom in an attempt of convincing Haruto that they have a lot in common. Sora is disappointed that it failed after Haruto learned of his actions when he was human, with Sora promising to settle things once he obtains the Philosopher's Stone. Sometime later, knowing more than he lets on, Sora directs Haruto to learn more about Fueki while learning that Koyomi houses the Philosopher's Stone. While his first attempt to kidnap Koyomi is foiled, Sora makes his move after the second Sabbath is ruined to relieve Fueki of his Hamel Cane so he can extract the Philosopher's Stone from Koyomi so he can achieve his goal of becoming human, again. But it instead turns Sora into a more powerful version of his Gremlin form as he resolves to amass more magical energy with senseless death and destruction to achieve his goal. He is ultimately defeated by Kamen Rider Wizard after the Philosopher's Stone is removed from him, reverting to his basic form and mortally wounded by the magician's Kick Strike. While Sora dies cursing Haruto for robbing his hope to become human again, he relents when Haruto notes Sora had long discarded his humanity before becoming a Phantom.^[35]

Sora Takigawa is portrayed by Takahisa Maeyama (前山 剛久Maeyama Takahisa).

Ogre[edit]

Ogre (オーガŌga) is the main antagonist of Wizard portion of Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle. Born from a man called Osuga (大須賀Ōsuga) when he gave into despair, he is a very powerful cannibalistic Phantom who eats other Phantoms, much like Beast Chimera, though he differs by splitting himself diagonally in half when a Phantom falls into his jaws. Once Ogre consumes a Phantom, he permanently acquires their powers. His objection is to devouring WizarDragon, Haruto's inner Phantom, to become a stronger Phantom. He created a fake version of Koyomi by stealing the Hope Ring from Haruto to assume her a White Wizard form. After he entered his Underworld, causing Haruto starts to despair, he was confronted and finally defeated by the combination of 'another' Haruto/Wizard and WizarDragon.

Osuga is portrayed by Atsushi (敦士).

White Wizard[edit]

The White Wizard (白い魔法使いShiroi Mahōtsukai) is the wizard who gave Haruto the means to become Kamen Rider Wizard while leaving Koyomi in his care, overseeing the former's progress while seeing Kosuke Nito as a hindrance to his agenda as he took Mayu Inamori as an apprentice after she successfully suppressed her inner Phantom. It is only after he commissions a Wizard Ring from Wajima that his human identity, a former particle physicist at Kirimine University (霧峰大学Kirimine Daigaku) named Sou Fueki (笛木 奏Fueki Sō), is revealed. Sora convinces Haruto to learn more about Fueki, learning that he is not only Koyomi's father but also the Phantoms' leader Wiseman (ワイズマンWaizuman). Exposed while killing Medusa when he deemed her vendetta against Mayu detrimental to his plans, Fueki reveals that the first Sabbath he caused what meant to fully resurrect his daughter Koyomi with the Philosopher's Stone, but it was incomplete and he used the Phantoms created from the Sabbath to target various Gates in hopes to finding three other magicians besides Haruto to commence a second Sabbath with the entire city as the sacrificial site. After Nito foils the second Sabbath, Fueki attempts to flee Tokyo to resume the Sabbath elsewhere. But, while fighting Wizard Infinity Style, Fueki is tricked into giving up his Hamel Cane to Sora and is killed by the Phantom.^[36][37][23]

Sou Fueki transforms into the White Wizard by means of the White Wizard Driver (白い魔法使いドライバーShiroi Mahōtsukai Doraibā), a Wizardriver-like belt, with his Palm Author (パームオーサーPāmu Ōsā) buckle outlined in red chrome and spiked fingertips, which is properly summoned with the black red-outlined Driver On Ring (ドライバーオンリングDoraibā On Ringu). Unlike the Wizardriver which says 'Please', the White Wizard Driver says 'Now' whenever a Wizard Ring is used while 'Yes!' and 'Understand?' are used instead of 'Chōīne!' and 'Saikō!' when a ring used for a finisher is scanned.^[38] His Transformation Ring, amber-like in color, is the Change Ring (チェンジリングChenji Ringu) and his Magic Rings, with clear purple diamond-like stones, are Teleport (テレポートTerepōto), Explosion (エクスプロージョンEkusupurōjon) and Eclipse (エクリプスEkuripusu), the last one serving a means to artificially cause an eclipse to start the second Sabbath. Other rings at his disposal include the Copy, Defend, Special, Blizzard, Thunder, and Gravity Rings, and his own Kick Strike Ring that allows him to perform his version of Strike Wizard. Most of the White Wizard's spells are enhanced versions of Wizard's, such as the Copy Ring producing the more powerful Dupe spell whose copies can act independently, much like the Dragon Timer. His personal weapon is the flute-like Hamel Cane (ハーメルケインHāmeru Kein). He also has the Plamonsters White Garuda (ホワイトガルーダHowaito Garūda) which he later gives to Mayu and Black Cerberus (ブラックケルベロスBurakku Keruberosu).^[39][40] His magic circle when using the Magic Rings reflect the lunar phases of the moon. Assuming the form of Carbuncle (カーバンクルKābankuru), an Phantom he artificially created from a combination of magic and science in order to become a magician upon absorbing the creature, Fueki can use his Phantom physiology to produce Magic Stones from which the Wizard Rings are manufactured from.

In March 2014, Uchusen magazine will run a special photographic retrospective on Kamen Rider Wizard. The magazine's official Twitter stated that the White Wizard is called 'Kamen Rider Wiseman' (仮面ライダーワイズマンKamen Raidā Waizuman) in the materials they received for the editorial.^[41]

Sou Fueki is portrayed by Narushi Ikeda (池田 成志Ikeda Narushi). Before Fueki's alternate identities were revealed, the White Wizard's voice is originally provided by Toshitsugu Takashina (高階 俊嗣Takashina Toshitsugu) while Wiseman is voiced by Toshio Furukawa (古川 登志夫Furukawa Toshio).

Mayu Inamori[edit]

Mayu Inamori (稲森 真由Inamori Mayu) is the younger twin sister of Misa Inamori, Medusa's original self. Having lost both her sister and parents while studying abroad, Mayu returns to Japan and attends a high school that Medusa later enters to target a classmate of hers. Because of her resemblance to Medusa, Haruto and friends initially believe her to be the Phantom herself until learning of Misa. Seeing Medusa, Mayu believes her to be her actual sister rather than a being born from her. While lured into a trap intended to put her in despair so her Phantom can be born, Mayu learns that Medusa is the one who killed her parents. Despite the despair that Medusa took her family from her, Mayu's memory of Misa telling her that only she decides her fate enables her to suppress her Phantom self. As a result, Mayu becomes a witch and accepts the White Wizard's offer to hone her skills so she can hunt Phantoms and avenge her family.

Mayu returns some time later to face against Medusa with her newly acquired powers as Kamen Rider Mage (仮面ライダーメイジKamen Raidā Meiji). Her driver, the Mage's Belt (メイジのベルトMeiji no Beruto), is similar in appearance and properties to the one used by Fueki. After Mayu transforms into Kamen Rider Mage, she says 'Now, its time to end this!' (さあ、終わりの時よ!Saa, Owari no toki yo!). As Mage, Mayu can arm herself with the Wizarswordgun, which is similar in appearance to Kamen Rider Wizard's except that the Hand Author is replaced with the red-lined Palm Author. Her main offensive capabilities lie in the giant claw on her left hand known as the Scratch Nail (スクラッチネイルSukuratchi Neiru).^[42] She also possesses the White Garuda Plamonster given to her by Fueki. She then gains possession of the Holy Ring (ホーリーリングHōrī Ringu), a powerful Ring that emits a strong light capable of destroying a Phantom, obtained by trading Haruto's Infinity Ring as part of a deal made by the White Wizard, however the Holy Ring fails to destroy Medusa and was mortally wounded by Wiseman instead. Feeling betrayed once Fueki's identity as Wiseman was revealed, she decides to side with Haruto and go against Fueki's plans. However, due to this, Fueki sends out Yuzuru as the blue Kamen Rider Mage to retrieve her unwillingly for his plans. After the final battle against Gremlin, Mayu joins the police under Rinko's guidance.

Mayu Inamori is portrayed by Erina Nakayama now in a dual role on top of her portrayal of Medusa.

Yuzuru Iijima[edit]

Yuzuru Iijima (飯島 譲Iijima Yuzuru) is a boy who wanted to make amends to the older Akari Kurata (倉田 朱里Kurata Akari, portrayed by Yukiko Yabe) for getting her in trouble when he was younger and learning that she was moving away within a week. Being targeted by the Phantom Sylphi, Yuzuru gets Nito's help to teach him after watching him fight Ghouls with his impressive bike skills. Unfortunately, Yuzuru is driven to despair when Sylphi tricks Yuruzu into thinking he mastered biking and engineered the events leading to Akari being knocked out by the boy's bike. But after hearing an unconscious Akari calling out his name, Yuruzu regains hope and suppresses his inner Phantom. Though he eventually decides not to become a wizard, allowing Nito to use the Engage Ring to destroy his inner Phantom, Yuruzu is abducted by Fueki.

Under Fueki's spell, Yuzuru returns as the blue Kamen Rider Mage (青い仮面ライダーメイジAoi Kamen Raidā Meiji) to retrieve Mayu for the Second Sabbath. After the second Sabbath is foiled by Nito's sacrifice, Yuzuru is freed from White Wizard's spell and decides to fight for Nito's sake alongside Haruto and Mayu. After the final battle, Yuzuru joins Nito's new adventure in searching for Beast Chimera as his weekend apprentice.

Yuzuru Iijima is portrayed by Shinta Sōma (相馬 眞太Sōma Shinta). As a child, Yuzuru is portrayed by Reigo Mizoguchi (溝口 怜冴Mizoguchi Reigo).

Masahiro Yamamoto[edit]

Masahiro Yamamoto (山本 昌宏Yamamoto Masahiro) is a soon to be father who was attacked by the Phantom Arachne while purchasing baby items for his pregnant wife Aya Yamamoto (山本 亜矢Yamamoto Aya). He is later held at that Omokagedō for protection after knowing his identity as a Gate. However, he is distraught as he cannot get in contact with his wife and Haruto reports that there is no sign of her being home. Nito and the others then decide to search for her, to which Yamamoto begs to take him along with them even though it will risk his safety. Aya was later found by Arachne, until Kamen Rider Beast, intervenes to protect her from the Phantom. During this, Medusa takes the advantage of Kamen Rider Beast being too distracted by the Phantom and fires an energy ball toward Aya which seemingly kills her. Seeing this causes Yamamoto to fall into despair and begins transforming into a Phantom, until it is revealed that Haruto used the Defend Ring in just the nick of time to protect her. Upon realizing this, he overcomes his despair and suppresses his inner Phantom. Like Yuzuru, he is forcibly taken by Fueki to become a wizard.

Yamamoto appears as the green Kamen Rider Mage (緑の仮面ライダーメイジMidori no Kamen Raidā Meiji), introduced by Fueki as the 'Fourth Wizard' (4人目の魔法使いYoninme no Mahōtsukai), to fight against Haruto and forcibly make him do Fueki's bidding. After the second Sabbath is foiled by Kamen Rider Beast whom recently freed his Inner Phantom Beast Chimera to stop the plan and becomes powerless, Yamamoto is freed from the White Wizard's controls, and decides to return to his family rather than fight alongside the other Kamen Riders against the White Wizard. Despite this, during Gremlin's attack on Tokyo, Yamamoto is encouraged by his wife to go on and join the others in saving the world by fighting Gremlin. After the final battle, his son is finally born.

Masahiro Yamamoto is portrayed by Shingo Kawaguchi (川口 真五Kawaguchi Shingo)

Aya Yamamoto is portrayed by Miyuu Sawai (沢井 美優Sawai Miyū)

Yu Kamimura[edit]

Yu Kamimura (上村 優Kamimura Yū) is a mysterious young woman who lives in the Underworld, appearing in the film Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Wizard & Fourze: Movie War Ultimatum. She is able to become the Young Masked Belle Poitrine (美少女仮面ポワトリンBishōjo Kamen Powatorin) by using the Orgel Pendant (オルゴールペンダントOrugōru Pendanto) and shouting out 'Cosmo Magic Metamorphose!' (コスモマジック・メタモルフォーゼ！Kosumo Majikku Metamorufōze!). As Poitrine, she is able to use magic and use the Belle Sabre (ベルサーベルBeru Sāberu). Haruto discovers that Yu's Underworld is an infinite loop, showing her birthday where everyone dotes on her and she saves the people from monsters as Poitrine before everything starts again. The Akumaizers use this to produce countless monsters for their Infinite Monster Plan, keeping Yu placated by convincing her that the fantasy of her Underworld is better than her hum-drum life in the real world. Haruto convinces Yu to move past her fantasies, as keeping her in the Underworld also traps four innocent children. Poitrine later wishes to create the Special Rush Ring for Haruto to defeat the Akumaizer. Afterwards, Haruto is shocked to discover that Yu Kamimura is actually the Donut Shop Hungry Manager. He explains to Haruto that his name actually Yu Kamimura and the Yu Kamimura that Haruto saw in the Underworld is actually his ideal self.

Yu Kamimura/Young Masked Belle Poitrine is an homage to Shotaro Ishinomori's La Belle Fille Masquée Poitrine which was part of the Toei Fushigi Comedy Series. Yu Kamimura's name comes from Yuko Murakami, the identity of Young Masked Belle Poitrine in La Belle Fille Masquée Poitrine.

The Underworld incarnation of Yu Kamimura is portrayed by Mari Iriki (入来 茉里Iriki Mari).

Akumaizer[edit]

The evil Akumaizer (アクマイザーAkumaizā) are the main antagonists who are the last remnants of the Akuma Clan (アクマ族Akuma Zoku) from the Demon World (魔界Makai) that were seen by humans of several thousand years ago as 'devils' (悪魔akuma) and were pushed underground. They receive five Gates from Phantoms and make the Infinite Monster Plant (無限モンスタープラントMugen Monsutā Puranto) which revives the Dopants, Yummy, and Zodiarts that were previously defeated by the Kamen Riders to make a Monster Army (怪人軍団Kaijin Gundan) to invade and conquer humanity. Each of the Akumaizer wield a rapier-like weapon called the Jankel (ジャンケルJankeru). They can also perform a group finisher called the Devil Team Attack (悪魔陣アタックAkuma-jin Atakku). The Akumaizer are a homage to the protagonists of Akumaizer 3, which was also created by Shotaro Ishinomori.

Zatan[edit]

Zatan (ザタン) is the leader of the Akumaizer who is able to use the Underworld's magic and wields the Jankel called Zalard (ザラードZarādo). He has the ability to control human minds easily. He plans on taking over the world together with his subordinates Eil and Gahra. Using the Zeber, Zatan transforms the Akumaizer's armored car into a large flying warship known as the Zaiderbeck (ザイダベックZaidabekku).

Zatan is a homage to Xavitan from Akumaizer 3, who is also the leader of the team. The Zaiderbeck is a homage to the Akumaizer 3's ship with the same name.

Zatan is voiced by Demon Kakka (デーモン閣下Dēmon Kakka) of Seikima-II.

Eil[edit]

Eil (イールĪru) is the most agile and skilled fighter of the Akumaizer and wields the Jankel called Elard (イラードIrādo). He is skilled in aerial combat and is able to sprout bat-like wings. Eil also has the ability to pass through time.

Eil is a homage to Evil from Akumaizer 3.

Eil is voiced by Tomokazu Seki (関 智一Seki Tomokazu).

Gahra[edit]

Gahra (ガーラGāra) is the strongest of the Akumaizer and wields the Jankel called Galard (ガラードGarādo). Gahra can transform into a large monstrous bird-like form known as the Gahracho (ガーラッチョGāratcho).

Gahra and the Gahracho is a homage to Gabra from Akumaizer 3 and his ability to transform into a giant ostrich-like form called the Gabratcho.

Gahra is voiced by Yūji Mitsuya (三ツ矢 雄二Mitsuya Yūji).

Space Shocker[edit]

Space Shocker (スペースショッカーSupēsu Shokkā) are the antagonists of Kamen Rider × Super Sentai × Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taisen Z, originally surviving members of the original Shocker organization who have been powered up by the magic powers of Raider to aid him in the resurrection of Demon King Psycho. However, all of Space Shocker's forces were wiped out before seeing their goal realized. Among the group's membership are Shadow Moon, the Space Ironmen Kyodyne, and the Shocker Combatmen.

Space Ikadevil[edit]

Space Ikadevil (スペースイカデビルSupēsu Ikadebiru) is the squid-like commander of Space Shocker who oversees the capture of Psycholon. He ends up being destroyed by the Gokaigers using the Metal Hero Keys.

A homage to Ikadevil from Kamen Rider, Space Ikadevil is voiced by Tomokazu Seki (関 智一Seki Tomokazu).

Space Kumo Otoko[edit]

Space Kumo Otoko (スペース蜘蛛男Supēsu Kumo Otoko, lit. 'Space Spider Man') is a spider-like commander of Space Shocker who dons a celestial cloak and aids in the capture of Psycholon. Space Kumo Otoko ends up being destroyed by Kamen Rider Fourze and Inazuman.

A homage to Kumo Otoko from the first episode of Kamen Rider, Space Kumo Otoko is voiced by Keikō Sakai (酒井 敬幸Sakai Keikō).

Strategist Raider[edit]

Strategist Raider (軍師レイダーGunshi Reidā) is a mystic that once offered his services to the Space Crime Syndicate Madou until he was destroyed for attempting to take over the organization. However, Raider is revived and recruits Space Shocker to help him revive Demon King Psycho to consume the universe in the Genmu World. Though killed, Raider is resurrected in monster-like form known as Space Raider (スペースレイダーSupēsu Reidā) before being destroyed by Kamen Rider Beast and Kyoryu Gold.

Strategist Raider is portrayed by Hirotaro Honda (本田 博太郎Honda Hirotarō).

Demon King Psycho[edit]

Demon King Psycho (魔王サイコMaō Saiko) was the leader of the Space Crime Syndicate Madou which intended to conquer the universe through chaos decades ago before its defeat by Sharivan. However, thought to have been destroyed, it would be revealed that Psycho's conscious actually resided in the Genmu Castle (幻夢城Genmu Jō) that was the Madou's base of operations. Though the actions of Raider bringing the Genmu Castle to Earth, Psycho is resurrected before being destroyed for good by the teamwork of the Space Sheriffs, the Kyoryugers and Kamen Rider Wizard.

Demon King Psycho is voiced by Shōzō Iizuka (飯塚 昭三Iizuka Shōzō), who reprises his voice role from Space Sheriff Sharivan.

Emperor Maya[edit]

Emperor Maya (マヤ大王Maya-daiō) is the ruler of Magic Land who resides in the Emerald Castle (エメラルド城Emerarudo Jō). Though he is shown with a wizard's belt and wearing a Wizard Ring, he possesses no magic power at all unlike other residents of the land. In the real world, he is a happily married man with a wife and baby.

Maya is portrayed by Shugo Oshinari (忍成 修吾Oshinari Shūgo).

Minister Auma[edit]

Minister Auma (オーマ大臣Ōma-daijin) was once the emperor of Magic Land, but now serves Emperor Maya as his most-trusted advisor. He transforms into the Golden Wizard (金色の魔法使いKin'iro No Mahōtsukai), Kamen Rider Sorcerer (仮面ライダーソーサラーKamen Raidā Sōsarā). As Kamen Rider Sorcerer, he is armed with the Dis Halberd (ディースハルバードDīsu Harubādo). He is equipped with golden-rimmed, black-stoned Magic Rings. The Common (コモンKomon) Ring allows him to use any type of magic spell, while the Create (クリエイトKurieito) Ring allows him to recreate the world however he envisions. The Final Strike Ring (ファイナルストラ イクリングFainaru Sutoraiku Ringu) activates the Strike Sorcerer (ストライクソーサラーSutoraiku Sōsarā) Rider Kick. He uses the Create Wizard Ring in order to make the world to be fit for wizards only. Though openly loyal to his emperor, Auma secretly disgusted him. He eventually reveals his true identity as the Phantom Drake (ドレイクDoreiku) once he is defeated as Kamen Rider Sorcerer by Kamen Rider Wizard in Infinity Dragon form. We also learn that he is not creating the world to benefit wizards. He has engineered a super-spell, which will turn every wizard into a Gate and thus the world would be ruled by Phantoms.

Auma is portrayed by Takanori Jinnai (陣内 孝則Jinnai Takanori). Jinnai is the oldest person to portray a Kamen Rider to date at age 54; the record was previously held by Hiroyuki Watanabe for his portrayal of Kamen Rider Gaoh in Kamen Rider Den-O: I'm Born! who at the time of filming was 51.^[43]

Shiina[edit]

Shiina (シイナ) is a young boy who Wajima took in as his apprentice when his mother was mysteriously taken away by a rainbow-colored tornado. Shiina created the Flower Ring (フラワーリングFurawā Ring) for his mother, which enables Haruto to find the mother's skeleton before using to the ring to fight Auma. As with any Magic Land resident, Shiina is also able to transform into Kamen Rider Mage (仮面ライダーメイジKamen Raidā Meiji) armed with the broom/spear-like Ride Scraper (ライドスクレイパーRaido Sukureipā), which can be used as a weapon as well as for transportation, and the Common Ring. His inner Phantom is Ouroboros (ウロボロスUroborosu), twin gold and silver serpents with petal-manes. With both aspects of Ouroboros destroyed by the combined effort of Kamen Riders Wizard and Beast with their own Phantoms, Shiina is unable to use magic any longer.

Shiina is portrayed by Tsubasa Takizawa (瀧澤 翼Takizawa Tsubasa).

Captain of the Imperial Guards[edit]

The Captain of the Guards (近衛隊長Konoe Taichō) is able to transform into the high-ranking red-caped Kamen Rider Mage, leading the yellow-caped Kamen Rider Mages of the Imperial Guard.

The Captain of the Guards is portrayed by Ryuji Sainei (載寧 龍二Sainei Ryūji).

World Within the Magic Stone[edit]

The World within the Magic Stone (魔法石の中の世界Mahōseki no Naka no Sekai) is an alternate world created from the souls of monsters defeated by the Heisei Kamen Riders, most of the humans residing undergoing a transformation at puberty which changes them into monsters that were defeated by the Kamen Riders in the past (e.g. Gurongi and Dopants). During his time in the World within the Magic Stone, Haruto encounters alternate versions of his friends, labeled rejects for not transforming into monsters, alongside a time displaced Nito.

Amadum[edit]

Amadum (アマダムAmadamu) is the ruler of the World within the Magic Stone, an evil wizard who became imprisoned in the said world. Revealing the Heisei Riders possess the Cross of Fire, a power he claim was originally his, Amadum intended to take their powers while using the boy to break the Magic Stone's seal so he can exact his revenge on the real world. Unlike other wizards, Amadum is able to use magic powers without the use of a Driver and just simply calling out the name of the spell rather than using a Ring. He is ultimately defeated by the combined effort of the 15 Kamen Riders.^[44]

Amadum is portrayed by Tomorowo Taguchi (田口 トモロヲTaguchi Tomorowo).

The boy[edit]

A young boy lives in the World within the Magic Stone, he was an orphan alongside Koyomi who planned on breaking out of the world with the Rider Rings' power. Though he distrusted Haruto at first for trying to stop him, the boy learns that he might transform into a Kamen Rider instead of a monster as he helps in Amadum's defeat. Entrusted with Haruto's Infinity Ring, the boy is revealed to be the world's version of Haruto (はると).

The boy is portrayed by Ryūto (竜跳).

Koyomi[edit]

Koyomi (こよみ) is the World within the Magic Stone's version of Koyomi, though alive and on the verge of becoming a monster which was the boy's motivation to get her out into the real world.

Koyomi is portrayed by SALA.
